(NSW) Suburban Rambler 2004 On Saturday February 28, 2004, 3801 Limited conducted a "Suburban Rambler Tour' of Sydney using an RIC 48 class and a 3801 Limited 49 Class in 'push pull' format. Starting at Redfern, the tour operated as follows: *Redfern to North Sydney Car Sidings: Via Meeks Road, Enfield, Flemington, North Strathfield and Hornsby. *North Sydney to White Bay: Via Hornsby, North Strathfield, Lidcombe, Sefton Park Junction, Chullora, & Enfield. *White Bay to Port Botany: Via Cooks River *Port Botany to Carlingford: Via Bankstown, Sefton Park Junction & Clyde. *Carlingford to Sandown: Via Rosehill. A photostop was held at Rosehill while the train reversed at Clyde. *Sandown to Eveleigh: Via Lidcombe, Enfield & Meeks Road. (this completed all legs of the Lidcombe/Flemington triangle). *Eveleigh to Sydney Terminal: Via the 'Engine Dive' Arriving at Sydney terminal | |||||
