Adelaide Suburbans Adelaide plays host to the only "all diesel" suburban system in Australia. Three types of Suburban Railcar operating in combinations from one to four cars, depending on the requirements, provide the fleet. The System has been reduced over the last couple of decades, the last major change being the reduction to single line to Belair with the opening of the Melbourne-Adelaide Standard Gauge link. The network itself has only five attended stations out of a total of just over eighty. | |||||
